I have been exhibiting drawings and paintings in the U.S. for over forty years, and have been included in exhibitions at museums and galleries across the country, and am in numerous public, corporate, and private collections. I have received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, as well as an Award in the Visual Arts. Currently I'm represented by Moody Gallery, Houston. In 1998, I co-founded the strategic communications and design firm, ttweak. I left the firm in early 2011 to return to my studio practice full time. I was the co-creator of the Houston. It's Worth It. campaign, a ttweak project, which published three well-received, crowd-sourced books - HIWI: The Book, HIWI:Ike, and HIWI:Rice. I began designing rugs in 2008 and I have also designed textiles, wall coverings, and relief tiles. In 2020 I became the Executive Director of The John Fairey Garden Conservation Foundation. I was additionally named Artist in Residence in 2024.
